The 71st National Day 2019 was proudly celebrated at Hatharaliyadda.
The 71st National Day Celebration concurrent with the Independence Day was held on 04.02.2019 at the Hatharaliyadda Divisional Secretariat.Religious leaders, Public Officers, School Teachers, Kalayathana Teachers and students attended the celebration. Lectures were conducted by religious leaders representing various religions a professor and the Divisional Secretary. Dancing events, singing event and a certificate award ceremony were also held.
A “Pindapatha Charikawa Programme” was held under the Thripitakabhiwandana Programme on 16.03.2019 at Hatharaliyadda.
The Pindapatha Charika Programme was held on 16.03.2019 with the participation of the Divisional Secretariat Hatharaliyadda, the Police station, the Buddhist Federation government and non-government organizations to commemorate the event of publishing the “Thripitakaya” as a world heritage to protect the “Shasanaya” for the future generation.

The Divisional secretary with all the officers of Divisional secretariat ceremonially appreciated the excellent performance shown by
Tarushi Navodya Herath, daughter of Mrs. Amitha Udayangani Thennakoon who is the chief Public Management Assistant, who received the first place of the Kandy District (Fifth place of the Island) by scoring 195 marks
and
Ruhani Thennakoon, daughter of Mrs. Deepika Dissanayaka who is a Development Officer, who scored 182 marks
and
Wathsala Vidumini Galahitiyawa, daughter of Mr. Uthapala Kumara Galahitiyawa who is the youth service Officer, who scored 173 marks at the grade 5 scholarship Examination 2018.
